Hello to all of you first off;

As some of you already know I am in a mail competition this
summer at camp.  Camp finishes this week
and thus so does the mail game. In this final stretch emails have played a
major role. Even though they are only worth half a point mass amounts have come
in and swung the points rapidly in the favor of my enemy.

Those of you who are also friends of his and received his
latest rallying email know he alluded to great revolutions and other historical
actions that require much work and endurance. I would however not want to talk
about great revolutions, battles, or even endurance or work. I would like to
talk about friends. It has been my privilege to call you friends and to know
that I can count on you for help and supporting times of need.

This is a time of need; my opponent is currently in the lead
with 273.5 points more than me.  Some
would be discouraged by this overwhelming obstacle. I however know that with
the help of all of you I can overcome this seemingly large obstacle. I believe that
you help in the form of emails can be enough to beat him and his supporters.

Thank you for all the mail that I have received thus far and
thank you for the support that I know I can count on in the final days of this
mail game. The competition is over Saturday at noon.
