well, time to update again i suppose.

so friday i left for camp. the roads were supposed to be bad but they
weren't really for the most part. 94 was good, 32 was good, 26 was
pretty good, 27 was nothing big, then came the gravel roads, i went on
the circle arrow route. it was a little slippery but nothing i couldn't
deal with. then there was the turn that is always bad... its steep,
like a turn on a race track. so i was slowing down for it, knowing it
would be a problem. i wsa only going about 10 and then it got so
slippery that the wind blew me to the side and off the road. so i got
out and dug away at the snow around the wheels. i didn't have a shovel
cause my brother doesn't carry one in his cargo van for some reason so
it was digging by hand. i tried getting back on the road went futher in
the ditch. put on my snow pants and dug some more, still no good, so i
out on my emergency shoes. my mom has always made me have shoes in the
car when i drive. for emergencies. now it finally paid off.

first i walked to the house i just passed about 300 yards back. went
there knock, lights on, tv on, noone home. walk back to the van. grab
my night vision and my hat and start walking. i started at 6:28. i
figured that every mile walking on average is about 10 minutes, but
walking in snow in the dark is a little slower than normal. i walked
until 6:46 when i came upon a house/farm. so maybe a little under 2
miles i was thinking. the couple there was nice and the husband gave me
a ride to camp. i was guessing a little over a mile from the house to
camp. got jeff duncan, he came and got me out. i used the odometer to
find out just how far it was. 1.7 to the house, another 1.5 to camp. i
was close.

the weekend went good, not to much work. learned how to play hand and
foot. got to hang out. saturday i was reading the dictionary. i got to
bagpipe before i fell asleep. did you know that the instrument is
called a bagpipe, even though most people call it the bagpipes. really
thats wrong.

at first i was a little disappointed because linn wasn't there then she
came to see me (and everyone elses there i guess) sunday morning. the
duncans invited us over to their house for a little while that
afternoon. it was a good chat. linn said that i wouldn't be that bad of
an option to marry.

was driving home need to stop in cooper to get gas. i had a half a tank
when i left home. didn't want to fill up till i had to cause its peters
van. so if there is extra gas its not to my benefit. so i am at the
stopsing to turn on 200, saw brady turn by. waved. went on into town my
gas meter was in the orange and i have no idea how low it can get in
there. i get about 3 blocks from the co-op and i start going slower...
i try to get further but no good. ran out of gas 3 blocks from the
co-op. got to walking again. not to far this time was not putting on my
emergency shoes for a measley three blocks. went borrowed a gas can got
some as i was going to walk one of the old guys said he would give me a
ride he just had to go to the bathroom first. so i hung out inside for
a little while. talked with the cashier. (duncans do you know who is in
XC with you and works at the pool and at the co-op, is it a lunde?)
then i got a ride to the van got more gas and dr pep and was on my way
home. nothing more interesting on the way home.

monday was first thomas and sam day. we went bowling then to the bell and scheels. over to my house for a while.

then last night celebrated my moms birthday (yesterday) and mine. then
i went out and got what i wanted at scheels. it is an airsoft pistol,
semi or full auto, comes with 3 mags. for only 15 good deal

today just kind of nothing.

Answer: i really had no meaning
for those letters. it was a game kristin invented and then i messed up
the letters i was trying to have her guess, so i was looking for some
reasonable phrase i could use because i messed everything up.
Question: what else did i buy at scheels?

In God's Hands,

  1. not socks. probably something you would actually use.Sounds like it was the adventurous weekend. I hope it was fun, as I had fun reading about it. What did your mom think about those emergency shoes finally getting some usage? See, mother knows best.

  6. Thomas...Thomas....lol You told me nothing of your adventures. Your mom is a smart lady.....always have the emergency shoes on hand (or on foot as the case may be). To clarify...I was trying to convince Emily of your marriageability as she was not completely sold on the idea. I had to find some middle ground to start from. ;)
