ok here is a story about nate miller (from college not nate miller from high school...)


it is a retelling of the story he told me of a recent phone converstation he had....

someone called the ocho while he was there taking a survey the following is their conversation

Survey Guy: hi, i am working on a project from stats class. how long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
Nate: well are we talking weekday mornings or weekend mornings?
SG: uh, i don't know weekday mornings.
N: oh ok... monday, wednesday, friday or tuesday, thursday?
SG: either. does it really make a difference?

N: it makes a big difference.
(getting slightly excited) monday, wednesday, friday i have an eight
o'clock class tuesday thursday i....
SG: (interrupting) ok fine, monday, wednesday, friday

N: well first i have an eight
o'clock class but then i don't have class untill chapel, so i ususally
get ready then. so do i count before my class, or after, or both?
SG: i don't know, count whatever you want to count. how long does it take you to get ready for the day?

N: ok... then about... 3 hours.
SG: what 3 hours? you can't count 3 hours?

N: well you said i could count what ever i want, i figure chapel is getting ready for the day, you spiritually...
SG: (interuppting again) no just how long does it take you from when you get out of bed untill you leave your room.

N: oh.well thats easy. 15 seconds.
SG: you can't say fifteen seconds... i'll just put you down for fifteen minutes

N: what. there is no way it
takes me fifteen minutes. it's only like twenty feet. i could do that
for sure in fifteen seconds, maybe less.
SG: look if you don't give me a good answer i am just going to have to call someone else.

N: (very sarcastically) oh no don't bug somebody else... please keep bugging me.
