brothers and sisters is a new show starting on abc... i have no idea
what it will be about but it has superchick playing the song on the
commercial... i think it is the theme song for the show... thats sweet

the show called the nine looks kinda sweet maybe

well so here is the news from camp...
first this week... then backing up and then going forward again.

this last week was sr hi. it was a really good week. lots of good
things learned by staff and campers alike. it was probably the most fun
i had counseling any week this summer. got to see people who i haven't
seen since last year.
we got cabin of the week. congratulations lebanon and caesarea. i know some of both of you read this so.
i got in the back of the tabernacle again and started running computer.
the first part of the summer i was not involved and jesse wsa doing it.
its nice to be back in the back.

now to the week before... i had 10 crazy campers in my cabin who all
knew each other and didn't know how to stop talking. they didn't know
how to listen either so i had to be strict. then one wrote a letter
home and said he wasn't having fun so his mom called camp and all the
kids talked and all the parents talked and some how they now think that
i am super mean and that i am the worst counselor ever. three of the
parents said that i should be fired and never work with kids again.
jody says he doesn't think there any reason for me to be fired because
every other camper i have had in 6 years like me but we have to think
about these parents... blah blah blah so i am working at the adventure
program for the last two weeks of the summer. fine by me. i get more
sleep and have more time off... its kind of dumb how it turned out but
anyway

so anyway now the next two weeks i am at the adventure program. i would
appreciate some letters before the summer is over. only two weeks left
for me to get them at camp.

well thats all i am going to write for now.

  2. Dang, I didn't hear about the "complaining campers" story.  Too bad I wasn't co-councilling with you that week, cuz we both know I woulda laid the beatdown on those little sons-of-a-gun.    You know, kinduva good cop/bad cop thing.  But hey, look on the bright side... at least the whiny ones didn't barf this time around, right?
    See you tomorrow,-Matt-

  3. Yay C.O.W.s!! haha do those shirts not rock? I think they do.Those crazy kids don't know what they're talking about. You were one of my favorite people there! And thanks so much for the cd! It was really unexpected, and very thoughtful, so thank you :) I'm sorry my bracelet is probably really lame. Crafts sucked that day so there was nothing else to make. And I saw sparkly yarn, so I grabbed it. Anyhow, I had a great time in Frolf also. And I can't wait to get my pictures developed. That's always fun. Camp rocked this year....yup that's pretty much it.I'll try and send you something at camp, sound good? And maybe I'll even somehow get you a cake. Heh.!h.

  5. I'm going to say nothing about your major change. Except maybe you changed it to Underwater Basket Weaving. That's a harsh reaction from the parents. Wow. And the camp. I'm surprised that would be the case given the cards you were dealt. It sucks how you are being reassigned but also a blessing. I mean, working the Adventure Program will allow you the opportunity to meet many more of the campers right? Maybe possibly? Granted, you will not have the same opportunities to develop the same kind of relationships with them that you did as a counselor. I find it hard to believe that you were so strict with those 10 campers that they had no fun at all. Even when you are strict, you're still easy-going. I suppose it is possible that the parents don't understand that even at camp there are rules and consequences for breaking those rules and guidelines. Still, wow.

  6. so now you are taking my job.. i feel super cool knowing you are in my place! ha ha have a great rest of the summer, hopefully i will get to come out and visit you guys this next week, it depends on what the docs say... oh yea and you have to make sure you tease Jesse unconditionally while you are out there, seeing as i won't be there to do that... he deserves to get teased once in awhile :) you can tell him i said that too, have a great week, and i may get around to sending you guys some letters, we'll see, bye bye! ~Sammi A.
