when i am sitting at the coffee shop i wonder what would happen if i gave people who wanted decaf regular coffee and people that wanted regular decaf. sometimes i am really tempted to do it. i picture the person who wanted regular falling asleep at work wondering "how can i be this tired? i've had so much coffee" and i picture the person who normally has decaf but gets regular buzzing on a caffeine high. i picture it being something like the time i gave hannah a vault.
then i remember that decaf actually can have up to 40% of the caffeine that normal coffee has. that makes the switch seem like less fun.
earlier this year when i was helping my parents move i got two big rubbermaid tubs of my clothes that were at home. i figured there was no reason for me to move them from the parents old house to the new house. i might as well take them. after i got them i didn't have to do laundry for so long because i had so many clean clothes. then i just had a whole bunch of laundry to do at once later... oops.
this week i finally went through the rest of the clothes that were still in the rubbermaids. and a bunch of my other clothes and gave a bunch to goodwill, ones that didn't fit or things that i had multiples of.
i am wondering how many t-shirts i need. i don't want to get rid of to many. t-shirts are memories, old camp shirts, shirts from high school, youth group shirts, etc. but at the same time i think it would be fun to do this
someone did a huge survey of what color you associate with each day of the week and made a shirt of that color for that day.
would i need more than a shirt a day?
last tuesday call of duty 5:world at war came out. i think it is the first game i have ever bought on the day it came out. when i was buying it on tuesday i saw a poster at the store saying there was a tournament on friday night. i entered not really thinking i would do that well but that it would be fun to try. friday night came and it was actually kind of intense. every round i started out behind and coming back to take the lead. the story doesn't sound as intense even telling it in person so i won't even try to relate how fast it made my heart race towards the end but i ended up winning the store tournament. i won a shirt (i actually got three shirts) and i advance to the next round. if i win the next round, and the next round then round 4 is in san diego onboard the USS Midway and the winner gets $2500. i don't really think that would be me but it sure would be sweet if it were.
thomas banley- you should get COD5 so we can play online. so should anyone else with a 360
Thomas Kvamme~You just rocked my socks completely off! It has been a while since that has happened. I was sooo excited to see the new post. I read it right away as soon as school was over. So you are still Master and Commander of the coffee shop eh? I have a confession. Sometimes at the nursing home people would be really rudely specific about which coffee they would want. Occassionally I'd switch them and feel pretty devious about it. I never heard any complaints. Oh...let me clarify...this was not the residents that I experimented on....it was some of my ahem....co-workers. I definitely should have put making pizza on my list of favorite things to do, and of course Chicken Pattie Alfredo would top that list. Thomas...I miss cooking for you. Come home. :( Let's all get a house in Fargo for the summer. Or better yet, we'll buy an old school. I'll cook for everyone, and we can stay up late playing crazy games and planning ways to occupy ourselves. Breakfast will be at the reasonable hour of 11:00 AM. Sound like a plan? As much as I miss cooking for you, I miss you and your sense of humor more. I promise not to ruin Candy Bar Pie ever again. Hugs! ~meP.S. They do like to move it....move it. :)
ReplyDeleteKind of surprised to see an update from you. Its been a while...i take it you have been pretty busy with your new found gaming skills. It is almost worth going to get the game just to play against this new found master of the art. Anyways good luck in your tourney! So was trying to figure out ways to get you back to North Dakota. You have any that might be helpful to know? If i buy a coffee shop would you work with me? So your updates are a lot more interesting than anything i can write...you should write them more often. Have a good one bro
ReplyDeleteI find it ironic you speak of getting rid of old shirts and winning three new shirts in the same post. I thought for sure the "color of Thursday" would be pink. I was a little disappointed in the brown-ish color.
ReplyDeletewellkkjksdf.... I was just considering selling my 360 and everything else for that matter. But if you say it's pretty good, and you bought it on the day it came out, I'm considering getting it. Then I can go to the big sd with you. Or maybe I'll be there waiting for you. A friend of mine has a rich uncle there or some such, we can chill there.keep me updated on your turney status. I'm rooting for you.sweet white suit on your av btw.t
ReplyDeleteYou should get your mom to make you a quilt with all your old shirts...or you could do it yourself, I know you have skills in that area. Always enjoy your posts.
